ENROLLMENT SERVICES
GOALS
2008-2009
-
Work on the
creation of combined Admissions/New Student Information Center
location to better coordinate and facilitate services aimed at
prospective students.
-
Implement and
fine tune the optical imaging system to replace our reliance on
paper records in all facets of Enrollment Services and expedite
enrollment-related services.
-
Implement an
online transcript request process in the Registrar’s office to
better meet the needs of students.
-
Provide support
to Admissions in the development of a strategic outreach plan to
increase high ability, under-represented, traditional age and
nonresident students which includes extensive expansion out of
state travel and territory management.

Work in
conjunction with the Associate Provost to increase efforts aimed
at improving retention and graduation rates. These include
increasing admission standards as appropriate, continuing to
offer extended hours of service in the Bronco Help Center and at
West Campus, and developing and implementing plans yet to be
determined.

Provide support
and human resources for the PeopleSoft upgrade to be implemented
in FY08-09.

Enhance
communication to students, through improved use of electronic
messages, personalized communication and continued professional
development in customer service.

In Financial
Aid and Scholarships work together in the awarding and
monitoring both ACG and SMART grants as federal regulations
continue to evolve.
-
Make any
changes necessary to the Enrollment Management Plan, Enrollment
Management Committee, Enrollment Services’ department mission
statements, and enrollment management processes bringing
alignment with Charting the Course – the strategic vision for
the University.

In
collaboration with the Provost’s Office and Extended Studies,
fully implement scheduling software for the effective scheduling
of classroom space at the Boise Campus, West Campus, and Canyon
County Center. Help establish procedures, processes, and
reports that assist in scheduling and optimizing classroom
space.

Work with the
Admin Council and the Enrollment Management Committee in
determining enrollment goals for the upcoming academic year.

Explore with
the Foundation the opportunities for further development of
unrestricted scholarship dollars.
-
Celebrate the
accomplishments achievements of the staff in Enrollment Services
and provide opportunities for professional development.
-
Develop and produce new recruitment materials (print and
electronic) that effectively promote Boise State to our target
market using messaging that is consistent with Charting the
Course.

Begin work with
Alumni to develop Broncos Beyond Boise in Seattle, Portland and
other key cities as time and resources allow.
-
Actively assist
in the development of the College of Western Idaho, the new
community college in the Treasure Valley, to provide for dual
enrollment and ease of transfer.

Respond to and
serve the needs of international undergraduate, technical and
graduate prospective students and applicants to promote the
internationalization of Boise State's student population.
